We were lucky enough to catch QiCo owner, Adrien for a walkthrough of his latest container buildout. We had a great chat about the industry and where it’s headed. Here’s our close look at what goes into these well thought out grow rooms.
Let’s get down to brass tacks. These 45’ containers are fitted with power, hvac, control systems, lights, C02, drainage, and get this- wheels. They’re completely sealed and all air exchange has been accounted for. More so, each box is built to the buyer’s specification so you get to rely on the expertise of someone who has seen a lot of success with these rooms but also customize your build to use a different growing medium or even make the space for a wheelchair to fit through the aisles. You can essentially have your container built and shipped to you anywhere in the world, plug it in and get moving. Truly a turnkey setup for the serious grower. 
Adrien has a horticulture background and has been in the cannabis industry for a couple decades so it makes sense that he’s thought through the issues that normally plague growers. Power, air exchange and drainage all snap into place, no light or gas can escape or invade. The heavy aroma of growing can be managed with one large carbon filter for the entire space, covering multiple containers. Temperature is auto adjusted. Absolutely ideal for growers who are renting warehouse space; they require no construction to the owner’s building. No materials need to be taken down or destroyed if you need to move, they stack and fit together nicely, and each container can be locked up individually for security. 
There’s no reason you couldn’t continue stacking containers, slowly building up your fleet. I’m told that a hard working grower can turn their investment around in one year. The best part is that if you outgrow your space you could potentially transfer your entire operation in a weekend. Say, Nevada legalizes marijuana as it seems they are on track to do, you could ship your entire grow space and save yourself the hassle of building out an entirely new operation. 
We also got a look at these rooms in action. The #AnimalCookies and #Funfetti filled the container nicely under HPS bulbs. In this set up, there’s plenty of room to inspect and train the vegging plants. You can see the control room at the rear. Next we’ve got some beautiful Flowering #BananaOg under 10k finishers. I was nearly knocked back by the tropical forest floor funk aroma. You can see just how lush and full the canopy is here. Even the thick trunks on these ladies were impressive. 
Hats off to QiCo and their crew. They’re basically killing it on all levels. Edibles, evermelt, flower and more all get their humble beginnings in these elegant grow boxes. The entire industry starts in rooms like these, if you’re taking your business seriously and are in it for the long haul you can save yourself time and money (not to mention headaches) by starting off with an already dialed in room and expanding at your own pace.
