Basking in the glow of all the top shelf concentrates @highendmarketplace_ Here’s @cw.503 showing me through their selection and steering me in the right direction. Love seeing an inventory that includes a wide variety from all over Washington. Pretty dang convenient to get products from Seattle and beyond so close to home. After sampling @skordmarijuana @cannaorganix @mantisextracts @refine_seattle and more it’s safe to say the budtenders can point you toward something you’ll really enjoy. Now, I just need a good excuse to swing by on a Saturday, where they knock $10 off every gram of concentrate. Anyone know a good spot in Vancouver for breakfast? 📸:@ktnmoss

The concentrate I come back to most. @dirty.arm.farm OG Kush Live Resin consistently has that one-two punch of flavor and effect. I always relate the flavor of a good kush to clean forest air. It’s vegetal and sweet with a bit of sharp pine and citrus peel without the sour back end. This concentrate excels in translating that flavor to the dab and I’m always surprised by the pronounced effect I get from a small amount. This extract is a bit like Häagen-Dazs, rich but when you get the craving, nothing else will do. If you’re a big OG fan I think you should pick some up just to get a concentrated taste of something you love. Grabbed @oregonsfinestofficial but I’ve seen it in shelves @fosterbudspdx, @naturalwonders.pdx and a couple others. Keep an eye out!

Just a taste of Golden Cobra to brighten your day. @bullruncraftcannabis always brings the flavor and I’m surprised how often I pull a jar of something sweet and dank away from my nostrils and their name is on the jar. This cross of Grape Kush x Tangie makes for a pretty pungent tropical bouquet. Sweet papaya and pineapple scents make up the headspace in the jar and tearing into the buds releases even more syrupy fruit notes alongside shoe polish and a bit of forest funk. Resinous sour lemon and lime scents left on my fingers. The tropical scent carries over to the exhale and the effect here is a euphoric one. Up and conversational, I’m a little self-conscious to say “giggly” but I wrote that in my notes and I’ll stick to it. Great strain for that after work sesh when you need to unwind and catch up on the minutiae of the day. We picked this sample up from @farma_pdx but let me know if you’ve seen it anywhere else around town. 📸:@ktnmoss

@archiveseedbank turned to instagram to name their new crop of Do-si-dos crosses and there’s already over 2,000 comments. Still, I couldn’t resist the challenge and gave each cross a shot. I looked toward the parents GSC OGKB and Back crossed Faceoff hand leaned heavily on in-jokes and vague references. These are Cannabis strains after all. My aim was to select names that would pop off the shelves (hence the familiar plays on cookies, ogs, and kushes) but still throw back to the originals. Best yet, I double checked to make sure none of these were in popular use. Let me know if any jump out to you and I’d love to hear your ideas. According to Archive there could be some beans in it for you.

Just a taste of this Headband X Memory Loss bred by @archiveseedbank and grown by @resin_ranchers.pdx. Beautiful bubblegum notes on top of chemical sharp fruit flavors and a sweet whiff of that Sativa accent I associate with a lot of Dutch haze crosses. Effect on this one is grin-inducing and a little hopped up. For someone like me who typically avoids Sativa’s with that manic edge, this strain is balanced nicely with just enough focus and realization that I don’t lose my cool. This flower also makes for a great palate cleanser and will cut through the myriad of effects from all the other flower you’ve been indulging in. We picked this up @farma_pdx but it’s also on shelves @zioncannabis2331 and fittingly, @archiveportland 📸: @ktnmoss

I’ve been enjoying the recent @420braveheart drops and this Snow Dawg is a standout. Complex and potent, this is the sort of flower you want to stock up on. Black pepper with a cheesy sour funk accompanied by sweet clean dewy grass and an underlying whiff of forest fire. Cracking into the buds releases yeasty bread and baking spices commingling with barnyard funkiness. Sort of like a nice smokey scotch, there’s a lot to admire and pore over here. I want to keep swirling the glass and going back for another taste. Light, nearly yellow flowers separate into chunky calyxes and burn down to a flaky white ash. For someone who loves complex and competing aromas, this flower really takes the cake (or rather, slice of funky gingerbread). Compared against the other jars of Braveheart’s pungent flower this one almost seems subtle but on its own is a real show off. I grabbed this from @oregonsfinestofficial and it’s also on shelves @parlourcannabis and if you’re considering it, probably worth the trip.
